As a Huntsville Photographer specializing in family and newborn photography, I’m always looking for fun activities for my own family to participate in during the Christmas season. There are SO many Christmas activities in Huntsville, AL and I want to share a few with you!
Christmas Activities in Huntsville, AL
-A live theatrical nativity scene- last night to view is tonight (12/12)! View event here
-Make hot chocolate, drive around and look at Christmas lights (some good stops can be found at Rocket City Mom)
-We love the walking nights at the Galaxy of Lights. We have found driving through takes so long and that is hard with little ones! Details here
-The Nutcracker Ballet- so much fun for our kids! The Huntsville Ballet Company’s dates have passed but Alabama Youth Ballet has remaining performance dates available here.
-Bethlehem Breakfast at Whitesburg Baptist Church – this one has past but add it for next year!It is a living walk through of different scenes centered around Jesus’ birth (my girls really love this!)
Some activities we do at home:
-Watch “A Charlie Brown Christmas”
-Watch “The Star” (a really cute Jesus centered children’s Christmas movie)
-Nightly reading from the Jesus Storybook Bible (in previous years we have not succeeded in reading them every night, just how it goes with kids)
-Bake cookies and take them to a neighbor
